Duration:15 min.

The work explored to reinterpreting and reusing elements from the non-realistic theater stage. In this performance, I use the plates from a theater play (for which I designed the stage) as a ready-made object. I then created a new performance with a different meaning. In the Visual Arts, a ready-made object is an established approach, but how about seeing an element from a play as a ready-made object? My hypothesis: the stage element, in particular, an abstract object from the non-realistic theater piece, has its own language when it is shown without the theater. When I place it into an exhibition room, how could I define it as an artwork, like sculpture or installation? How could the same object be seen in different fields? This process allowed me to experience different interpretations of the same performance across the contexts of the visual arts and theater.
